Note: There are 5 speed control modes, not just the three I put in the video. The instructions describe setting them according to flashes of the speed control during this process. 1 blink = Sport Mode, full forward and reverse throttle. 2 blinks = Race Mode, removes reverse throttle for tracks not allowing it 3 blinks = Training Mode, reduces throttle responses to 50% for learning to drive and ...

I’m so glad to see you still enjoying the Hobby even though you’re not flying. And I love all your car videos too! Doing great, thank you for your time.
😂 Great commentary!
I just started my path down carpentry. Thank you for the useful informative video.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I broke a rib in a table saw kickback..but hurt what I wasn't operating the machine....!! I was just going about my business around the workshop then a fellow worker caused the accident ..I almost lost my life..love from Garissa Kenya...
Good info
Idiot, sure, but I've shown this video to my young nephew about why not to mess with the tablesaw, and even he got the message loud and clear. Heck, with how close your finger clearly was, this video could quite possibly be one of, if not the, most important safety demonstrations I've seen for tablesaws. Thank you.
I’d use less grippy tires to have more fun sliding/drifting, but that’s just what I like most.
I can get a nice drift through the turns, just have to send it into that turn hard and fast enough. Then it slides nice but goes throughh the turn surprisingly fast. Just takes practice for a 75 year old driver....
Thank you for making this video. I needed someone to explain this to me like I was in the third grade. Mission accomplished.
There are actually five speed control modes, not just the three listed in the video. See the description for more on those modes and the instructions has a full description and procedure for setting them.
Best unboxing video on UA-cam!
gold
Thanks for doing this video…. I’m glad you didn’t get hurt, and I now know how horrible it is.
can you use indoors now i new that was a issue also
not that i know of. I gave up on this thing, sold it off
I'm so glad I googled the right question that brought me here and she showed me how you completely simplified the procedure and I didn't even know there was one and you made it so simplistically clear and effective from what I can tell I can't wait to get to my saw and get busy making fine small incremental adjustments and hopefully get it just right thanks so much keep it up 💥💥💥💥💥💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥😜🔥
Great tip! Thanks for sharing.
Great content, Tom. You mentioned having owned/flown 8 or 9 of the foam Flex Innovations planes. What were your top three, and why?
Cessna 170, 60eCap 232 and the 10e Yak, all great fliers, superb slow-speed handling yet all aerobatic as you want.
@@flyingrcdotnet cool. Did you also try a 60e RV-8?
I did fly RV-8's just not a fan of that airframe from any of I think three manufacturers that I tried.
Nice job with this! You just made the internet a slightly better place. Love the snarky humor!!
I feel the same way about the laser. I bought the sky wing laser 67" and I knew I was going to love it. So I pre ordered the extreme flight laser 67" before the first one even arrived. Love them both. Hope you're doing well Tom.
You can insert the rear screw that backs out the other way, I do this with all my 2wd slash trucks. Cool video!!
Thanks! I'll try that! Tom
Can you add an aftermarket riving knife to an old tablesaw? I have a crappy old Craftsman saw my grandpa gave me.
With the way people sue companies for not preventing them from being stupid I doubt anyone would risk that kind of exposure. For many older saws it might be a real chore installing something that works well.
Does Andersons RC stock this one ?
You need to check with them on particulars. I am always amazed at what I find there!
Agree, Matt's shop is top notch! Living near Houston, Texas. I have had deliveries shipped by Anderson RC.
It is a tough job, but you knew it was dangerous when you took it! Enjoy that car! Looks like fun! (Maybe video suggestion: you mentioned batteries charging. What do you recommend for tools there? Methods? )
I will be doing a video on that shortly, just got the stuff in the shop. I've been using a very basic charger but need to step that up and will show both. Stay tuned!
I experienced kickback today for the first time. Thankfully I was ripping some 8ft boards so the size and mass of the piece couldn’t go the speed of sound like in the vid. Still took a good lick to my ribs with a ripped piece of 2x4.
That slow mo made my heart skip a beat!
It looks just like the dirt modifides they run up in New York and western Vermont.
That's the idea, the "mudbus" as they have been known up there. I've always liked that look.
Great video track looks awesome!!!! Seems like most are taking a liking to the Traxxas Mud boss!!!!👍👍 I can't wait to pick one up!!! 💯
I am anxious to get into the fine tuning of the chassis for the track, along with "educating" my driving fingers. There is a ton of performance left in the Mudboss.
Cool car sir
The treads on those tires look remarkably similar to the treads on slip-resistant work shoes; the kind that restaurant employees wear. They make a small little cleaning rake that is in the shoe box when they're sold. I've thrown out a dozen of those cleaning tools over the years. Ask anyone you know that works in a restaurant and they can probably get you that tool to clean those treads.
They look just like the Hoosiers we run on the dirt tracks.
Awesome car but nowhere to race it yet
Im making a track in my back yard, sort of. I expect there will be lots of places using the Mudboss as a spec class.
It just released yesterday, there will be plenty of places to race, if you have tracks in your area or race a place now they will race them for sure...it's money in there pocket they are not gonna pass it up!!!
Yes, I thought also about, to change the wheels against larger sizes ones... Rough terrain with the original??? Not so practical!
Hi folks, maybe for the most of You it's nothing unknown, but for the other people... there are supporting legs available for the extensions to provide at the most outward point super stability! It's worth the money to have a sure stable support holding the heaviest sheets!
I like my DX5 Pro 👍
I'm very new to giant size planes and have the exact same plane which I am modifying run electric. I did not see a power distribution system in yours. Is it necessary to run a power distribution board on these large planes? Thanks!
Technically it not necessary on any plane, just a ton safer for your investment. I forget what we had in that one initially but I flew it mostly on a Powersafe receiver that had dual batteries.
Sir your awesome narrating could bring you to Hollywood Id also like to let it known I've thouroughly enjoyed your videos and lessons. Thank you very much
Wow, thanks
Love hearing from you
I recently had a catastrophic ESC failure. 95" electric plane. Smoked for a second, I cut the throttle thinking it was the motor. Tried for a dead stick landing but with a toasted ESC, I don't think there was any power to the receiver. Was thinking of using two receivers next time. One for the control surfaces and one for the ESC/motor. Big battery for ESC/motor and 1st receiver. Small battery pack for 2nd receiver and control surfaces. Does this sound reasonable or can you think of a better way? Thanks
Sounds complicated. That's one reason I used so many Powersafe receivers from Spektrum. Less chance of me complicating myself into the ground
@@flyingrcdotnet fair enough, thanks for the reply.
Oh, a Packer Fan! Ok!
Happy to see you staying in RC in some capacity. 👍
Nice job Tom! This was very insightful! Would you mind talking a little about how you record your voiceovers and how you sync the audio the way you want it?
That video is in the works. First I have to figure out how I do it.....
@@flyingrcdotnetI’m looking forward to learning more from your experience. Thanks for all your excellent work!!
Thank you...well, for being an idiot and making this video. You probably have saved many people some very bad injuries.
Fun fact: this is just as important on planes. Got a plane that darts unpredictably on the ground and is hyper sensitive? This is a huge part of it. The ole pigeon toed plier tune up has been successful many times. It's nice to see you do it more precisely on a much more complicated suspension.
Very true! I have a story on my site, done years ago about this very topic. flyingrc.net/algngear.html
I’ve seen them work in person. Dude used his real hand. Damage was a tiny shallow cut extending just into the dry portion of the skin. No blood. No damage.
Great info
I've had a few of those Mobius cameras and really loved them, too bad they quit making them a few years back.
Hi from sweden, thank you for all the flying videos👍👍👍👏and all the best to you👍
Nice to have you arround professor. ❤
100% stay safe out there people, if you do dumb things and think it’s never going to happen to you. Well guess what it will amd it’s only a matter of time.
I've been lurking on your channel since before the tablesaw kickback experiment. I'm very happy to see you picking up this new hobby. Keep us posted. I know nothing about all this, so every bit is interesting & fun to watch. 75! I dont think I have the reaction time for this at nearly 25 years less. I would have to stand behind something to keep my ankles.
